British actor Michael Sheen has joined the cast of Tim Burton's ALICE IN WONDERLAND, so reports Variety.

The thespian, who is next seen in Ron Howard's FROST/ NIXON (as broadcaster David Frost), will also star opposite Samuel L. Jackson and Carrie Anne Moss in UNTHINKABLE, directed by Gregor Jordan. That film looks at the ethics of torture after a terrorist threatening to detonate nuclear devices in the U.S. is questioned by a black-ops interrogator and an FBI agent, while 'Wonderland' is based on the popular children's story.

ALICE IN WONDERLAND is currently shooting in Cornwall, south-west England.
