Eric Dane, star of the hit TV show GREY'S ANATOMY has joined the cast of Marley and Me, a film starring Owen Wilson and Jennifer Aniston, based on the best-selling novel by John Grogan.
Trade paper Variety says that Wilson plays the ambitious reporter who moves with his wife (Aniston)
to Miami for a newspaper job. Dane will play the journo's best friend,
who suggests that the reporter adopt a puppy as a substitute for the
children his wife wants to have. Marley morphs from an adorable Lab
puppy into an incorrigible handful.
Shooting kicks off in Miami this month. The film will be released Stateside on Christmas Day 2008.
