A sequel to the 2006 action film CRANK is in the works, and that's official, so says Variety. CRANK 2: HIGH VOLTAGE will once again see Jason Statham reprise the role of Chev Chelios with the film once again being directed by Mark Neveldine and Brian Taylor.
This time, Chelios faces a Chinese mobster who has stolen his nearly
indestructible heart and replaced it with a battery-powered ticker that
requires regular jolts of electricity to keep working.
Lionsgate and Lakeshore Entertainment are teeming to make the feature. The film will be shot back-to-back with GAME, a futuristic thriller starring Gerard Butler. That starts filming on November 5 in New Mexico.
