Brit actor Andy Serkis is reuniting with his KING KONG and LORD OF THE RINGS director Peter Jackson on his next movie, a big-screen outing for TINTIN. The Hollywood Reporter says that the film could see Serkis playing the role of Capt. Haddock, a temperamental sea captain, in
British scribe Steven Moffat's adaptation of the European comic
strip created by Herge.

The trade says that the film revolves around the comic book character of Tintin, a young Belgian reporter and world traveler who is aided in his adventures by his faithful dog Snowy and later accompanied by characters like Haddock, Professor Cuthbert Calculus and bumbling detectives Thomson and Thompson.
The film is to be the first in a trilogy, all to be produced by his frequent collaborator Kathleen Kennedy. They will all use performance-capture technology and be produced in digital 3-D. Both Peter Jackson and Steven Spielberg will direct one of the films each.
