Alan Carr’s Now That’s What I Call a Ding Dong DVD, has taken all the
best bits from the first series of Channel 4’s hilarious gameshow Alan
Carr’s Celebrity Ding Dong and added some brilliant exclusive new bits
such as unseen footage from the series and a selection of brand
spanking new material from Mr Carr himself.
In a quiz where both teams have the opportunity to win a slice of the
high life and proving once and for all that celebs are no better than
ordinary folk, members of the public, “the CIVILIANS”, are pitched
against famous faces, “the CELEBRITIES”, and tested on an assortment of
bizarre and off-the-wall questions.
Dotted between each round, Alan also takes a tongue in cheek look at
the world of showbiz with a selection of comedy studio items plus
specially filmed VT's making this the must-have DVD this year for all
Alan Carr fans. Celebrity team captains include Paul O'Grady, Chris
Moyles, Johnny Vegas, Davina McCall and Louis Walsh.
Awards for Alan Carr, who has quickly become a household name, started
with City Life New Comedian of the Year (2000) and the BBC Best New
Comedian of the Year (2001). More recently Alan has picked up a British
Comedy Award for Best Stand Up in 2007 and in the same year was
nominated for a BAFTA and RTS award for the Friday Night Project.

Alan’s career took off at the Edinburgh Fringe Festival of 2005 when he was spotted by Channel 4 and recruited to front the new line up of the Friday Night Project along with Justin Lee Collins. Since then he has been constantly in demand, touring the UK as well as making highly memorable live TV appearances on Live at the Apollo and the Royal Variety Show. His Channel 4 series, Alan Carr’s Celebrity Ding Dong is returning for a second series in October. Carr has released his first ever auto biography Alan Carr - Look Who It Is! on September 29th 2008 .
