Coming to DVD: Beowulf: Director's Cut

A powerful new hero is sought to answer the call of a terrorised kingdom, desperate to rid itself of the flesh ripping monster Grendel in the box office smash hit BEOWULF, released onto Blu-ray and DVD in an all-new Director's Cut and the Original Theatrical Cut on DVD only from Warner Home Video on 17 March 2008.

Beowulf is a complete re-imaging for the timeless legend. Infused with lust, betrayal and demons the groundbreaking film is a sweeping, adrenaline filled visual feast, beautiful and gruesome, violent and emotional, it's the ultimate epic adventure.

Academy-Award winners Anthony Hopkins and Angelina Jolie lead a stellar cast that includes Ray Winstone as the title hero, John Malkovich, Robin Wright Penn, Brendan Gleeson and Crispin Glover.

The Director's Cut by Robert Zemeckis offers fans an entirely new experience in their homes on Blu-ray, HD and DVD. This all-new, never-before-seen version features more gore, blood and violence and presents the film the way it was intended. The Director's Cut of Beowulf will be accompanied by special features that explore the origins of the story and how such a magnificent feast was created.
