Newsreader Natasha Kaplinsky has revealed that she is three-months pregnant with her first child. Her spokesman told the Mirror newspaper in the UK:  "She has never been happier."

Kaplinsky moved from the BBC to a new posting on Five just seven weeks ago in a reported £1 million deal. Since she joined the channel, her news bulletin has boosted viewing figures by 72 per cent.

Five's senior controller Chris Shaw told the newspaper: "We're delighted at the fantastic news."
