Eve Mendes has apparently banned her Dad from watching her new movie WE OWN THE NIGHT. The reason? Well, according to The Sun newspaper in the UK, the Latino beauty is scared of his seeing her in a sexy clinch with co-star Joaquin Phoenix.

Mendes is said to have had 'a bit of a drink' before shooting the sex scene with the GLADIATOR actor.

"I was cringing the entire time we were shooting it." The actress said to the newspaper.

"I was scared about doing it and I'm still like, 'Oh my God, Dad cannot see this movie, Dad cannot see this movie!'"

The gangland set thriller is in cinemas later in the year.
