This year's best supporting actor Oscar nominee Mark Wahlberg has dismissed talk of a sequel to 'the best movie of 2006' THE DEPARTED. Speaking to Teletext, the actor, doing the rounds to promote SHOOTER, said:

"Until I'm actually on the set it's not happening. It's about as confirmed as the Italian Job sequel, The Brazilian Job. Until we can make it better than the first one it's not worth discussing."

"I've never done a sequel before, there's only a couple I can think of that were as good as the first ones - The Godfather." He added.

How bout TERMINATOR 2, ALIENS, REVENGE OF THE NERDS II - NERDS IN PARADISE...
