It looks like there might be a FORREST GUMP sequel. Yep, sources over at CinemaBlend.com say that GUMP AND CO, or whatever they will call it, is being looked at by producers Steve Tisch and Wendy Finerman, who have apparently dug out a 2001 screenplay, adapted from the book Gump and Co. by Eric Roth.

The website says that that book follows Gump after his shrimping business fails leaving him a single unemployed father. The book also sees Gump stumble through more important historical event in the 80s and 90s.

Paramount apparently want the movie in theaters as soon as possible. No word as to whether Mr Hanks will return as yet. They're talking to him apparently...
