It looks like there will be even more MUMMY movies. News hits us today that besides THE MUMMY 3, Universal are also looking to bring a proper sequel to THE SCORPION KING to the screen. The studio are so serious about it that they've already hired a director for the proposed project.
Russell Mulcachy, he who helmed HIGHLANDER and the upcoming RESIDENT EVIL: EXTINCTION, will direct the sequel, according to genre website ShockTillYouDrop.com.
No news as to whether this will once again star The Rock, or Dwayne Johnson as he now likes to be called, or if the film will be screened in theaters or head straight to the ever growing DVD market.
