Variety are reporting that David Goyer is set to direct a new version of THE INVISIBLE MAN, based around characters from the classic book by H.G. Wells. The movie is described by the trade as being a sequel though, with the action focussing on a young man who uncovers his uncle's formula for invisibility and is recruited by MI5 in the midst of World War II.
Goyer will write and direct for Imagine Entertainment, with Brian Grazer producing.
Goyer is somewhat busy as late. Since he left the big screen adaptation of THE FLASH, he has been attached to the X-Men spin-off MAGNETO and the DC Comics adaptation of SUPER-MAX, based on the Green Arrow character. His current involvement in those projects is unknown.
