James Toback, helmer of movies TWO GIRLS AND A GUY, BLACK AND WHITE and HAVARD MAN is to next direct a feature length documentary about boxing champion Mike Tyson.
Variety reports that Toback, who is good friends with Tyson, has completed over 30 hours of interviews with the man himself, and that the feature will trace how the fighter self-destructed and let a fortune and his ring legacy slip away.
Toback told the trade: "He was honest about all the things that have highlighted his life, from the bitter divorce, the ear-biting, prison, to his becoming a sex addict. He is self-aware, smart and a totally fractured personality, and he made himself completely vulnerable."
Tyson appeared in two of Toback's previous flicks, the aforementioned BLACK AND WHITE and WHEN WILL I BE LOVED. -----
