ITV have picked up the rights to Ricky Gervais's book "Flanimals", and will produce a new TV show for primetime. The show will be broadcast in six 30-minute episodes that will star Ricky himself, who provides the narration of voices of characters like Clunge Ambler, Grundit, Puddloflaj and Munty Flumple.

Producers are also in talks to sell the show to the US, according to The Hollywood Reporter.

The Flanimals book is hugely popular both in the UK and the UK.
