We
have some info on the upcoming release for Marvel's first animated, feature length
movie, ULTIMATE AVENGERS, which arrives on region two DVD this coming October
2nd.
From Marvel
Enterprises and Lions Gate Home Entertainment comes the first-ever Marvel animated
feature starring some of the most popular super heroes in the Marvel Universe,
including Captain America , The Hulk , Iron Man and Thor . On DVD from October
2nd, Ultimate Avengers: The Movie is the first of an 8 epic feature length animated
movie franchise. Based on the best-selling Marvel Comics series, "The Ultimates"
is superbly animated and stays true to the comic book roots. Lions Gate Home Entertainment
is proud to announce the forthcoming launch of this all-new movie franchise.
With
exclusive special features including must-see 'Making Of' footage and a 'Which
Avenger Are You? DVD-Rom, Ultimate Avengers is essential viewing for Marvel fans,

With
the world in crisis and age-old enemies on the verge of attack, General Fury must
assemble a team of today's most powerful super heroes. But first, team leader
Captain America must rise from the icy depths of the North Atlantic, where he
has been frozen since 1945 after sacrificing himself in a nuclear missile attack.
Motivated by
his duty to intercept disaster, Captain America is resurrected and his fellow
superheroes reluctantly join the mission. The almighty team consists of some of
Marvel's cornerstone characters, including Iron Man - the billionaire bachelor
who is used to doing things his own way; The Hulk - the destructive force Bruce
Banner who hopes to turn into a useful team member; Thor - a hero who has responsibilities
to both the world of man and the world of gods and Wasp -a petite powerhouse who
sees the team as a fresh start for her and her husband.
As mankind's only hope, they combine their forces to fight the impending evil.
However, a sudden emergence of an unexpected opponent in their own ranks throws
the entire mission into chaos.
