Every
six months, we here at The Hollywood News make our way to the centre of the universe,
ahem, Milton Keynes to attend the bi-yearly COLLECTORMANIA event at the citie's
Center: MK shopping complex. Next weekend, the 30th Sept-2nd October, the Autumn
event takes place, and people like William Shatner, Nick Stahl, Robert Englund,
Erika Eleniak, Catherine Bach and Gil Gerard will be in attendence. Both myself,
and our two resident photographers Andy and Dave (and possibly Sarah), will be
hitting the event on Sunday, so for all y'all that can get down there, make sure

30th Sept to 2nd Oct 2005 movie stars from around the world will be descending
on thecentre:mk for the fan event of the year, and everyone's invited!
Middleton
Hall in the heart of Milton Keynes' prestigious shopping centre (thecentre:mk)
will once again play host to COLLECTORMANIA, the most impressive movie and collectors
event in the country. With 300 stands and over 30 guests, it is the perfect opportunity
to meet your favourite stars, and all this for FREE ADMISSION!
So
far over 30 stars have been confirmed, from Hollywood A-list actors to cult celebrities.
WILLIAM SHATNER and MAJEL BARRETT from Star Trek will be beaming down to meet
the fans and sign autographs. SUMMER GLAU who plays River Tam in the upcoming
Josh Whedon film, Serentity.
For the men and fans of cult tv there will
be a chance to meet sexy female stars such as Erika Eleniak (Baywatch), Erin Gray
(Buck Rogers), Catherine Bach (the original Daisy Duke), and Tricia Helfer (Battlestar
Galactica). For fans of Buffy there is a reunion of stars from the series including
Nicholas Brendon (Xander), Andy Hallett (Lorne) and Adam Busch (Warren). And as
an extra treat Adam's band Common Rotation will be playing a LIVE set at the spectacular
Collectormania Party on Saturday night! There are also such a-list stars as Adam
West (the original Batman!), Nick Stahl (Terminator 3, Sin City), Karen Allen
(Raiders of the Lost Ark), and Gil Gerard (Buck Rogers), as well as actors from
Red Dwarf, Doctor Who, and Star Trek. (guest list below)
As
well as more than 30 stars meeting the public and signing autographs throughout
the 3 days, there will be 300 stands selling the latest movie merchandise, collectables
and toys for the big kid in all of us! From replica lightsabres to original posters
from the greatest classic films ever made, there will be something for everyone.
And
just in case you think you will be able to rest after the show, there will also
be a number of exclusive evening events to keep you entertained well into the
night! Fans Buffy the Vampire Slayer will have the chance to hear the stars talking
about their experiences on-set and get the answers to those burning questions.
And on Saturday night there is the spectacular COLLECTORMANIA PARTY, where fans
can dance the night away with the stars!
Collectormania
is an event not to be missed for movie buffs and the general public alike, and
a great chance for fans to actually meet their favourite stars. And what's more
with FREE admission it's not going to break the bank, unless you indulge in a
little retail therapy that is!
