Next
up on this day of new trailers, is a look at a movie called ADRIFT. Based on true
events, ADRIFT tells of six long-time friends who gather for an ill-fated celebration
aboard a luxurious yacht. The champagne flows freely and soon some of the group
decide to go for an impromptu swim in the middle of the ocean. Amy, a serious
hydrophobia sufferer, stays on board to look after her baby and the partys
host, Dan, keeps her company. On impulse Dan decides to cure Amy of her fear of
water through aversion therapy. But when he picks her up and jumps overboard with
her in his arms he discovers the major planning flaw that will test the whole
groups will to survive. Nobody had thought to put ladder down and there
is no way back onto the boat. Powerless in a place they once thought was paradise,
the friends suddenly find themselves in a desperate struggle to live.
