CBS
has made a pilot commitment to CSI's Anthony Zuiker for The Man. It will be his
first development venture since creating CSI. LL Cool J will star in new series
where he will play an undercover LAPD cop who spends nights running sting operations
to break criminal rings and days trying to raise his three adopted kids. The kids
are an abused boy with an aggression problem, a former streetwalker girl he put
in community college and a skateboarder boy who is a recovering drug addict.

Cool J's cover is that he is "the man" - a go-to guy in the upper echelon
of Los Angeles, a high-octane hustler who can do anything, from getting into the
hottest nightclub in town to scoring tickets for a Lakers game.
