Phillips has been talking to IGN
FilmForce about the planned OLD SCHOOL sequel, which he's currently penning
with Scot Armstrong.
"My
co-writer Scott Armstrong and I, we're working on the script for it right now...
We've just started on it, so it's really early in the creative process, but we're
excited about seeing where things will go with it".
But
will Frank the Tank (Will Ferrell), and co (Vince Vaughn and Luke Wilson) return?
"Will's
interested, but that being said right now we don't have any of the actors involved
until we've finished writing the script. Not until the script is done will we
go to Will and Vince and Luke and see if they'll do it" says Phillips
to the site.
"Those
guys are why I want to re-visit this. These are characters I loved. It's not like
I'm going to get paid more money if I do Old School 2 than if I do a different
movie. It's because I think [Old School] really connected with people and it's
something I'd like to revisit. Frank the Tank, everyone. I want to see those characters
in a different setting and in a real way".
