It's
been a while since we've taken a look at the ongoing circus of speculation over
Chris Nolan's follow up to "Batman Begins". Frankly there's been so
much misleading information and total nonsense thrown around that it became a
bit ridiculous to try and paint a definite portrait, until Nolan himself is ready
to jump in and announce something solid.
Still,
I thought I'd roam around a bit and see what's been happening lately on the Bat-front.
Here, in a nutshell, is what I gathered.
Morgan
Freeman - said in interview recently he has no idea how the sequel is coming
around, but he's in no matter what the film has in store for him.
Tom
Wilkinson - Told Empire Online
his character Carmine Falcone shouldn't be expected back. " my character's
mad and possibly dead so I don't think so," the actor said.
Jude
Law - Speculation has been made that he might be the one to play Harvey Dent.
No source or confirmation whatsoever, so add it to the list of "yeah, right"
reports
Hugh
Jackman - A scooper for Batman On Film said he saw an interview on Aussie
show 9am with david & kim where he confirmed he was onboard. Some other scooper
soon after debunked, saying he only mentioned his work on Nolan's currently-filming
"The Prestige", alongside Batman himself Christian Bale. So, "yeah,
right"
Hugo
Weaving - don't know where his name started being pitched in, but "yeah,
right"
Got
anything else??? Drop it in our message
board. We'll take a look at it, and see if it can be confirmed or denied.
