Weitz gets Hugh Grant for his 'American Dreamz'

ABOUT A BOY helmer Paul Weitz is to reteam with that movie's star, Hugh Grant for AMERICAN DREAMZ, a social satire that, according to Weitz, "examines the role of dreams and ambitions in American culture. It's about what's wrong with America and how close it is to what's right with America."

The film will also see Weitz hook up with a few more of his previous film's stars. Dennis Quaid (IN GOOD COMPANY) and Chris Klein (AMERICAN PIE) are also cast opposite the lurrvly Mandy Moore.

Grant will portray a disaffected British TV personality, and Quaid will play the U.S. President, who's going through a nervous breakdown.

Weitz also wrote the screeplay for the movie with his brother Chris. The film should go before cameras in July.
