Hollywood
filmmaker Robert Rodriguez is to split from his wife, and producing partner, Elizabeth
Avellan. The couple who have produced films like SIN CITY, DESPERADO and FROM
DUSK 'TIL DAWN together have been together for over sixteen years and have five
children together..

report that the couple will continue to work alongside one another at their production
company, Troublemaker Studios and raise their children together.
"This
is an extremely painful time for me and my family, and Elizabeth and I very much
appreciate your understanding and patience." Said Rodriguez on the set
of his latest film GRIND HOUSE, which halted production in Texas last week.
The
movie, which also features a 70-minute long film by Quentin Tarantino is due in
cinemas later this year.
