Some
more DVD news for y'all now, and this time for UK readers. Cameron Crowe's ELIZABETHTOWN
reaches the home format next month, on 6th February from Paramount Home Entertainment.
Orlando
Bloom plays Drew Baylor, a young man whose future seems very bleak when his new
sneaker design fails miserably losing his employer huge amounts of money. Not
only that, his girlfriend dumps him leaving Drew with no option but to kill himself
- that is until his father passes away forcing him to re-evaluate his life with
a little help from his new found lady friend.
Without
a job he returns to Elizabethtown in Kentucky to attend his fathers funeral.
En-route he meets Claire (Kirsten Dunst), a friendly upbeat flight attendant,
with whom he makes a special connection.
As
he learns more about his fathers life in Elizabethtown, Drew finds that
he had more in common with him as he thought and he is not quite at rock bottom.
His priorities change and he begins to see new possibilities where he hadnt
earlier. Drew and Claire continue to build upon their relationship and as this
develops she helps him see the positive side of things as he makes new discoveries
about himself.
The
movie features music by the likes of Tom Petty, Elton John, My Morning Jacket
and Ryan Adams.
