After suffering 3 years of development heck, Fox finally goes ahead with a sequel to their 2002 hit 'Ice Age', with the main cast already signed.

John Leguizamo and Ray Romano have been confirmed back as Sid the Sloth and Manny the Mammoth. Love is in the air this time around as Drea De Matteo will be a lady sloth, and Latifah a mammoth. No word yet on wheter everyone's favorite a-hole Dennis Leary will be back as Diego.

The first film, originally conceived as a drama, went on to generate almost $380M worldwide, on a $60M budget. Release for the sequel is rumoured to be around March 2006, steering clear of any Pixar outings.
