There are huge rumours circuling the Internet, sourced from Kevin Smith's official website that Garden State and Scrubs star Zach Braff is to fill Chevy Chase's ample shoes in the new Fletch movie.

Smith responded to a forum thread that asked who would be playing the journalist in the movie to be scripted and directed by Smith. The response was an image of Braff.

Smith will kick off production just as soon as he's completed Clerks 2, which should be towards the end of the year.
