A new trailer has dropped for a film titled Bad Education, a movie that was doing the rounds at the late 2019 film festivals, including Toronto. The film will air on television – on HBO Stateside – and then on various other outlets globally. Ray Romano, Geraldine Viswanathan, Alex Wolff, and Rafael Casal are also amongst the cast of the feature, which is directed by Cory Finlay (Thoroughbreds). You can watch the Bad Education film trailer below.
Here is the official synopsis.
Inspired by true events, Bad Education stars Academy Award nominee Hugh Jackman and Academy Award winner Allison Janney. The story follows Frank Tassone (Jackman) and Pam Gluckin (Janney) who reign over a popular Long Island school district on the verge of the nation’s top spot, spurring record college admissions and soaring property values. But when an embezzlement scheme surfaces that threatens to destroy all they’ve built, Frank is forced to maintain order and secrecy — by whatever means necessary.
Our review said that the film ‘is layered and delicately crafted; it’s a little slow in its opening stretch but, if you can bear with it, everything that follows is just brilliant. It’s dark, shocking, funny, and spades of fun. Finley, once again, shows why he’s a name to watch.’
HBO will debut the film on their network on 25th April with other territories set to follow shortly afterward.
