The original mystery, which premiered at last year’s TIFF before being unleashed to the cinemagoing public in November, starred Daniel Craig as a southern super-detective named Benoit Blanc. It is being reported that a new instalment would see Blanc investigate a new case with Craig apparently keen to reprise his role from the first movie.

Chris Evans, Don Johnson, Jamie Lee Curtis, Christopher Plummer and Toni Collette also appeared in the first film.

Johnson is a very busy boy with a new Star Wars trilogy in the works but according to the report a Knives Out sequel could be seen on the screen first.
