The internet went into overdrive this morning as the first Black Widow trailer went online. The film stars Scarlett Johansson as the title character/ Natasha Romaoff, alongside the likes of David Harbour, Florence Pugh, O-T Fagbenle, and Rachel Weisz. Cate Shortland directs from a screenplay written by Jac Schaeffer and Ned Benson. It will hit cinemas in May 2020.
The film is reportedly set after the events of Captain America: Civil War, and will reportedly see Romanoff on the run and forced to confront her past.
Obviously this will take place before the events of this year’s Avengers: Endgame.
Shooting on the film took place earlier this year in locations in Norway, Budapest, Morocco, Pinewood Studios in England, and in Macon, Georgia.
No too much more is known about the plot of the film as yet, but this is sure to be one of the most anticipated films of the spring of 2020.
Watch the Black Widow trailer below and catch it in cinemas from next May.
