The next instalment in the Fast & Furious has officially wrapped production. The news was confirmed by the film’s director, Justin Lin over the weekend. The new movie is still a few months off in terms of release, but filming is officially in the bag. More on the Fast and Furious 9 filming news below.
Returning for the new movie is Vin Diesel as the main protagonist Dominic Toretto, , Michelle Rodriguez as Letty Ortiz, Jordana Brewster as Mia Toretto, Tyrese Gibson as Roman Pierce, Ludacris as Tej Parker, Enrique Guzman as Simon Toretto, Nathalie Emmanuel as Ramsey, Helen Mirren as Magdalene Shaw and Charlize Theron as Cipher.
Also along for the ride this time around are newcomers to the franchise John Cena, Finn Cole, Anna Sawai, Vinnie Bennett and Michael Rooker.
Lin said on his Twitter feed: “It’s an official #F9 Wrap! This is by far the most ambitious film of the series and I am forever grateful to our amazing crew from London, Edinburgh, Tbilisi (Georgia), Phuket & Krabi (Thailand), and Los Angeles.”

The massive $5 billion franchise continues to roll on following the release of its first spin-off this summer, the well-received Hobbs and Shaw which reunited Dwayne Johnson and Jason Statham as Luke Hobbs and Deckard Shaw respectively. That movie grossed a whopping $758 million around the world. The film is about to hit the home formats so its success is bound to continue on he small screen.
Fast and Furious 9 will hit cinemas in the summer of 2020, which is three years after the release of ‘number 8’ in the series. We will bring you more as it comes in.
