MUBI has released a new trailer for Zombi Child, a new genre piece that it will release on its platform later this week.
The film is described as the latest provocation from Bertrand Bonello (Nocturama) splices Haitian history and folklore with contemporary life at an elite girls’ boarding school in Paris.
Official synopsis: Haiti, 1962. A man is brought back from the dead to work in the hell of sugar cane plantations. 55 years later, a Haitian teenager tells her friends her family secret – not suspecting that it will push one of them to commit the irreparable.
