Following its world premiere at the Toronto International Film Festival last month, Universal Pictures has debuted the new trailer for historical epic Harriet starring Cynthia Erivo as Harriet Tubman.
Based on the thrilling and inspirational life of an iconic American freedom fighter, Harriet tells the extraordinary tale of Harriet Tubman’s escape from slavery and transformation into one of America’s greatest heroes.
Her courage, ingenuity, and tenacity freed hundreds of slaves and changed the course of history.
The film will open right in the middle of awards season this November. Also amongst the impressive cast are the likes of Leslie Odom Jr., Joe Alwyn, and Janelle Monáe. Kasi Lemmons, who co-wrote the screenplay with Gregory Allen Howard, directs.
