Having already launched Aladdin to $1 billion-plus earlier this year for Disney, filmmaker Guy Ritchie has another movie coming to cinemas within the next few months, The Gentlemen.
The film stars the likes of Matthew McConaughey, Charlie Hunnam, Henry Golding, Michelle Dockery, Jeremy Strong, Eddie Marsan, Colin Farrell, and Hugh Grant.
Yes, that’s Hugh Grant.
It sounds awesome and looks like a throwback to some of Ritchie’s first couple of movies; Lock, Stock and Two Smokin’ Barrels and Snatch. Love those movies.
Here’s the official synopsis.
THE GENTLEMEN follows American expat Mickey Pearson (Matthew McConaughey) who built a highly profitable marijuana empire in London. When word gets out that he’s looking to cash out of the business forever it triggers plots, schemes, bribery and blackmail in an attempt to steal his domain out from under him.
The movie is set for cinemas on 1st January. Here’s the new promo.
