Here Are Two New Clips From ‘The Lion King’ Live-Action Remake

THE LION KING – Featuring the voices of James Earl Jones as Mufasa, and JD McCrary as Young Simba, Disney’s “The Lion King” is directed by Jon Favreau.

Disney has unveiled two new clips from the upcoming remake of The Lion King, which heads to cinemas next week. The film has already had its world premiere earlier on this week where some early buzz started to hit social media shortly afterwards (read some of The Lion King earlier buzz here).

The film is a remake of the 1990s original animated movie of the same name. For those not in the know , here’s the synopsis:

Disney’s The Lion King, directed by Jon Favreau (The Jungle Book), journeys to the African savanna where a future king is born. Simba idolizes his father, King Mufasa, and takes to heart his own royal destiny. But not everyone in the kingdom celebrates the new cub’s arrival. Scar, Mufasa’s brother—and former heir to the throne—has plans of his own. The battle for Pride Rock is ravaged with betrayal, tragedy and drama, ultimately resulting in Simba’s exile. With help from a curious pair of newfound friends, Simba will have to figure out how to grow up and take back what is rightfully his.

The two new clips are below. We’ll have a full review of the movie ASAP. The Lion King will be released on 19th July.
