When you are at home and looking for something fun to watch on Netflix, it’s fair to say that sometimes all you want to satisfy your mind for a couple of hours is some heart racing, pulse-pounding action!
They might not be as delicate as romances or as side-splitting as comedies, but action movies are something that everyone can watch and have a good time with. Whether you like big shoot outs, fast car chases or blown up buildings, the one thing we can guarantee you is that Netflix has a film catalogue that covers all of the bases!
This list, for example, presents a neat rundown of everything that the streaming service has to offer in terms of action this month. Let’s take a closer look at the best action films just out on Netflix!
Black Panther
You can always count on Marvel movie to provide you with the action that you need, and it just so happens that Netflix has got one of the very best in its collection right now. Black Panther breathed new life into the Marvel Cinematic Universe last year, the first MCU movie to be nominated for Best Picture at the Academy Awards. This is testament to the fact that you get to watch a truly remarkable story and film alongside all of the fist-pumping action scenes.
Casino Royale
Nothing says action like a great James Bond movie, and Netflix currently has Daniel Craig’s very first outing as 007 in their catalogue. Just like Black Panther did for Marvel, Casino Royale invigorated the Bond franchise all those years ago, and some of the action scenes performed by Craig and co. rank among the very best that any 007 movie has ever achieved.
The Departed
With names like Martin Scorsese, Leonardo DiCaprio, and Jack Nicholson involved, you know that you are in for a great time. The Departed is a slick, sensational mob movie that sees an undercover agent trying to infiltrate the top ranks of a crime organisation. As you can well imagine, there are plenty of action-packed thrills and spills along the way!
Hot Fuzz
If you prefer your action to be mixed with more than a hint of fun comedy, then Hot Fuzz is definitely the movie pick for you. This modern British classic about a London policeman who is sent to a countryside town is much more than its description suggests. He soon uncovers a huge, action-packed conspiracy regarding plenty of the local village members!
Kill Bill Vols. 1 & 2
You get a two for one on Netflix here with both parts of Quentin Tarantino’s masterpiece Kill Bill. Uma Thurman kicks ass after ass after ass on a high stakes revenge mission to find the former boss who put her in a coma years ago. There is a mixture of Asian martial arts and pure American violence that makes these movies almost irresistibly fun and endlessly watchable.
