We revealed back in February that the breathtaking and entrancing indie, Madeline’s Madeline, which played at last year’s Sundance London festival, and then the London Film Festival in October, has bagged a May release date both in cinemas and on MUBI. Well, now we can present a new trailer and poster for your viewing pleasure.
The film is directed by the extremely talented Josephine Decker and we absolutely recommend getting to see it.
Here’s the synopsis:
Madeline (Helena Howard) has become an integral part of a prestigious physical theatre troupe. When the workshop’s ambitious director (Molly Parker) pushes the teenager to weave her rich interior world and troubled history with her mother (Miranda July) into their collective art, the lines between performance and reality begin to blur. The resulting battle between imagination and appropriation rips out of the rehearsal space and through all three women’s lives.
You can check out the new trailer and poster below. Madeline’s Madeline is in select cinemas and on MUBI from 10th May.
