Well, this is most excellent news. It looks like a third film in the Bill & Ted series will go into production later this year. The film’s stars, Alex Winter and Keanu Reeves, posted a short video yesterday stating that the movie, provisionally titled Bill & Ted Face The Music, will shoot this summer for a 2020 release.
Chris Matheson and Ed Solomon have written a screenplay for the film, while Galaxy Quest‘s Dean Parisot will direct. Matheson and Solomon wrote the two previous instalments, the first of which, Bill & Ted’s Excellent Adventure, landed in cinemas 30 years ago this summer. The follow up, Bill & Ted’s Bogus Journey, was released two years later in 1991.
The announcement video places ‘Face The Music’ in cinemas in August 2020. We obviously cannot wait. Here’s the video.
