The first teaser trailer and poster are unleashed below, ahead of the film launching onto the big screen on 26 July 2019.

Led by rising stars Sebastian Croft as Roman teenager Atti and Emilia Jones as his Celtic rival Orla, Horrible Histories: The Movie – Rotten Romans features an all-star cast including Nick Frost as Orla’s father Arghus, Craig Roberts as Emperor Nero and Kim Cattrall as Nero’s mother Agrippina. Additional cast include BRIT Award-winning artist Kate Nash as Boudicca, Rupert Graves as Governor General Paulinus, Alex Macqueen as Nero’s assistant Sycophantus and Sir Derek Jacobi reprises his iconic role as Claudius.

Atti (Croft) is a Roman teenager with brains but very little brawn. When one of his schemes falls foul of Emperor Nero (Roberts) Atti is forced to join the army and sent to miserable, cold, wet Britain. Things go from bad to worse when Atti is captured by Orla (Jones), a feisty teenage Celt desperate to prove herself as a warrior. Meanwhile a furious Nero is determined to crush the British rebellion, led by Boudicca (Nash). As the Romans prepare for an historic showdown with the Celts at the Battle of Watling Street the two new friends find themselves lined up on opposite sides of the battlefield.

Horrible Histories: The Movie – Rotten Romans is the feature film debut from Award winning director Dominic Brigstocke. Rounding out the cast is a host of brilliant comic talent including Alexander Armstrong, Lee Mack, Warwick Davis, Lucy Montgomery, Jamie Demetriou, Tony Gardner, Kevin Bishop, Samantha Spiro, Ella Smith, Dan Renton Skinner, Dustin Demri-Burns, Tim Downie, Ncuti Gatwa and Chris Addison alongside HORRIBLE HISTORIES alumni Sarah Hadland, Sanjeev Bhaskar, Dave Lamb, Jessica Ransom, Tom Stourton, Dominique Moore, Richard David-Caine, Lawry Lewin, Katy Wix, Katherine Jakeways and more.
