Chiwetel Ejiofor’s film The Boy Who Harnessed The World has just bagged a debut trailer and poster ahead of its release on Netflix at the end of March. Ejiofor writes and directs the film, which stars Maxwell Simba, Ejiofor himself, Aïssa Maïga, Lily Banda, Lemogang Tsipa, Philbert Falakeza, with Joseph Marcell and Noma Dumezweni. It enters selected cinemas and the streaming platform from 1st March.
Here’s the official synopsis:
Against all the odds, a thirteen-year-old boy in Malawi invents an unconventional way to save his family and village from famine. Based on the true story of William Kamkwamba.
