‘Bad Boys 3’ Has Finally Started Shooting

The third movie in very successful Bad Boys franchise has finally started shooting. Will Smith, co-lead with Martin Lawrence, revealed via his Instagram account on Monday that Bad Boys For Lif3, had officially started production. The actor posted what looks to be a pile of movie scripts will his brief message on the social media post.

“Day 1. I’ll keep ya posted.” he wrote.

Bad Boys For Lif3 is being directed by Adil Arbi and Bilall Fallah from a screenplay by  Joe Carnahan, Peter Craig and Chris Bremmer. Alexander Ludwig, Vanessa Hudgens and Charles Melton are also amongst the cast, along with Joe Pantoliano, who reprises his role from the first two movies as Captain Howard.

The folks at Production Weekly (via Heroic Hollywood) managed to score a synopsis over the weekend.

The new installment centers on the Miami PD and its elite AMMO team’s attempt to take down Armando Armas (Jacob Scipio), head of a drug cartel. Armando is a cold-blooded killer with a vicious, taunting nature. He is committed to the work of the cartel and is dispatched by his mother to kill Mike (Smith). Nuñez will take on the role of Rite, the tough and funny criminal psychologist who is the newly appointed head of AMMO and Mike’s former girlfriend- and the one who got away.

Shooting is taking place over the next few months with a release date set for January 17, 2020.
