It may not have opened in its domestic territory as yet, but it looks like Warner Bros. and DC Films already have a huge hit on their hands with Aquaman. The film has completely demolished the worldwide box-office and taken a huge $261.3 million in its first few days out there.
The film’s biggest market was China, where it enjoyed a combined £189.2 million in its first two weeks out there. A massive $126.4 millio was take i its 42 new markets this past weekend, all of which contributed to its massive haul.
The film is set to open in North America this week where it is expected to bag around $100 million in its first few days.
James Wan directs the film, which stars Jason Momoa, Amber Heard, Patrick Wilson, Willem Dafoe, Yahya Abdul-Mateen II, Dolph Lundgren, Nicole Kidman, Temuera Morrison, Ludi Lin, Michael Beach, Djimon Hounsou, Randall Park, Otis Dhanji, Julie Andrews and Graham McTavish.
