A second trailer for the upcoming David Lowery movie The Old Man & The Gun has arrived courtesy of Fox Searchlight. The film stars Robert Redford in a role which is rumoured to be his last before he officially retires from acting. Casey Affleck, Sissy Spacek, Danny Glover, Tom Waits, and Tika Sumpter are also amongst the cast.
The film is based on the true story of Forrest Tucker (Robert Redford), from his audacious escape from San Quentin at the age of 70 to an unprecedented string of heists that confounded authorities and enchanted the public. Wrapped up in the pursuit are detective John Hunt (Casey Affleck), who becomes captivated with Forrest’s commitment to his craft, and a woman (Sissy Spacek), who loves him in spite of his chosen profession.
The Old Man & The Gun arrives in US cinemas on September 28th, 2018 and then UK cinemas on 7th December. It will play at next month’s Toronto International Film Festival where we hope yo see and bring you the early word.
