Renee Zellweger (Bridget Jones’s Diary series) is to star in a new Netflix anthology series called What/If, so reports The Hollywood Reporter. The trade says that Mike Kelley, the man behind Revenge and Swingtown, is behind the new series, which has just got ten-episode straight to series order at the streamer.
THR says that the new show is ‘described as a social thriller that explores the ripple effects of what happens when acceptable people start doing unacceptable things. Each season will tackle a different morality tale inspired by culturally consequential source material and the power of a single fateful decision to change the trajectory of an entire life.’
All we know about Zellweger’s role is that she will play a character names Anne and the story will reportedly focus on newlyweds. All other details are being kept firmly under-wraps.
More as we get it.
