Netflix has just dropped the first trailer for filmmaker Ben Young’s Extinction. Young is the director of the gripping Hounds Of Love, which debuted in cinemas last year. If you’ve seen that movie we’re sure you’ll be interested in his next one. It lands on the streamer in just a couple of weeks.
Michael Pena, Lizzy Caplan, Mike Colter, and Israel Broussard are amongst the cast.
Here’s the plot synopsis:
A working class father of the future faces recurring dreams of destruction by an unknown force. When his unwanted nightmares begin to affect his relationship with his family, he soon realizes they may be the key to a horrible reality, as a relentless alien attack begins to destroy the Earth. As the invaders’ assault progresses, he is forced to find both the strength to protect his family and an understanding of who he truly is.
Watch the trailer below. Extinction lands on Netflix on July 27th.
