Yes, Nicolas Cage could be part of the Marvel universe again. Kinda. If sources are to be believed, Cage has joined the voice cast of Spider-Man: Into The Spider-Verse joining the likes of Liev Schreiber, Mahershala Ali, Shameik Moore, and Haliee Steinfeld.
The animated film is due in cinemas later this year and introduces Brooklyn teen Miles Morales, and the limitless possibilities of the Spider-Verse, where more than one can wear the mask.
If the rumours of the casting are true, the film will see Cage voice Spider-Man Noir, a darker take on Spider-Man and the mythos.
Obviously, none of this has been officially confirmed as yet. but it’s interesting news none-the-less.
Cage is no stranger to the Marvel universe. He famously played the role of Ghost Rider in two features – but that was before it was cool to be in a Marvel movie. Not that Cage has ever been un-cool.
Spider-Man: Into The Spider-Verse will be released in cinemas on December 14th, 2018.
