After being narrowed down to three names, Miles Teller has been cast as Goose’s son in the soon-to-start-production Top Gun sequel over at Paramount Pictures.
Tom Cruise will return as Pete ‘Maverick’ Mitchell in the film, set 30-plus years after the original. Goose’s son, who remains unnamed, will play a key part in tnew new film, which is being directed by Joseph Kosinski.
The news of Teller’s casting comes from Heat Vision.
Shooting on the new movie, which is being referred to as Top Gun: Maverick (which might change), will kick off soon for a summer 2019 release.
Val Kilmer will also return for the sequel as his character from the 1986 original, Iceman.
