Blumhouse has delivered a debut trailer for their upcoming horror sequel Unfriended: Dark Web, which will arrive in cinemas later in the year.
The film follows a teen who comes into possession of a new laptop and soon discovers that the previous owner is not only watching him, but will also do anything to get it back.
Spooky stuff, right? With a Blumhouse film you kinda know what to expect, and we really rather liked the first film, which debuted in the summer of 2015 (we gave it five stars). Here’s a reminder from our original review:
Unfriended is an unexpected terrifying success on all fronts. Socially relevant and engaging beyond belief, the simple set-up absolutely captures the isolated fear of cyber-socialising. Unfriended is a horror that appeals to and chides recent generations while still focusing on being damn entertaining. Brilliant, brave, and chilling.
