The very first images from the upcoming Halloween movie remake have arrived online. The film, directed by David Gordon Green (Stronger), is reportedly a direct follow-up to the 1978 original, and once again sees Jamie Lee Curtis lead the cast as Laurie Strode.
As well as these brilliant new images, we are being promised the first trailer for Friday. These pics have dropped online courtesy of USA Today.
The site has a synopsis for the film too.
In the decades following the fateful Halloween night that forever altered the former babysitter’s life, Laurie has armed and prepped herself for Michael’s inevitable return — to the detriment of her family, including daughter Karen (Judy Greer) and granddaughter Allyson (Andi Matichak).
Curtis told the newspaper: “In this [film], [Laurie] is well-matched, she is prepared, she is focused. She will be the one people are standing behind when that moment comes because she’s the one ready.”
Halloween opens here on the 19th October. More news, as well as that first trailer, as soon as it lands.
