In the very near future Shia LaBeouf will allegedly be playing a version of his own father in a movie called Honey Pot and the very first set images from the film have found their way onto Twitter.

LaBeouf also co-wrote the screenplay for the film, a seemingly meta-movie which we cannot wait to see. The feature is only in the very early stages of shooting, but we’d probably expect to see this on the festival circuit next year. It’s going to be weird.

As you can see from the Honey Pot set photos, LaBeouf can be seen in hi-vis jacket, long hair and mutton chop sideburns. Awesome. He’s even rocking some awesome denim overalls.

Entertainment Weekly has a bit more on the plot:
Alma Har’el, is about a LaBeouf-based child star (played by Manchester by the Sea breakout Lucas Hedges) who tries to mend his relationship with his “law-breaking, alcohol-abusing” father.
LaBeouf was last seen in Borg/ McEnroe and the feature Man Down. The actor also took part in a marathon of watching his own films, which he streamed live on YouTube. This guy is awesome.
We’ll keep you updated on the progress Honey Pot. Head over to Twitter to see those images in higher resolutions.
