Bohemian Rhapsody: Watch the Queen movie trailer!

We know we are a little late in posting this, but here’s the first trailer for the upcoming Queen biopic Bohemian Rhapsody. Boy, does this look good now that we’ve [finally] seen some first footage. Rami Malek, Lucy Boynton, Gwilym Lee, Ben Hardy, Joseph Mazzello, Aidan Gillen, Allen Leach, Tom Hollander and Mike Myers make up the cast of the film, while Dexter Fletcher directs (taking over duties from Bryan Singer, who left the project during production).

Here’s the official synopsis for the flick, which arrives in October.

The film traces the meteoric rise of the band through their iconic songs and revolutionary sound, their near-implosion as Mercury’s lifestyle spirals out of control, and their triumphant reunion on the eve of Live Aid, where Mercury, facing a life-threatening illness, leads the band in one of the greatest performances in the history of rock music. In the process, cementing the legacy of a band that were always more like a family, and who continue to inspire outsiders, dreamers and music lovers to this day.

I must admit, I would have loved to have had the actor singing rather than have the backing track of the original music, but hey, for whatever reason this doesn’t seem to be the case – but it looks like it works.

Bohemian Rhapsody will rock cinemas from October 24th in the UK. Check out this awesome Queen movie trailer below, along with the first poster.
