John Travolta will attend this year’s Cannes Film Festival for the premiere of Gotti, the film in which he stars as mob boss John V. Gotti. The Hollywood Reporter says that the film will screen out of competition on May 15th at the prestigious festival in the south of France.
The film will have “its world premiere as a special gala screening in the Palais des Festivals at Cannes,” the festival said.
“To have our world premiere as part of the most prestigious film festival in the world is quite an honor,” Travolta said as part of the announcement to the trade. “I would like to thank festival director Thierry Fremaux for including Gotti as part of the festival events.”
Gotti is directed by Kevin Connolly and also stars Kelly Preston and Stacey Keach. The film will be released in US cinemas from June 15th.
Travolta will also take part in a masterclass at the festival which kicks off on May 8th.
